Problems in Diagnosing Bipolar Disorder
Following his talk, there will be a time for questions from the audience.
You will find this to be most informative and helpful. Since April 2004, Dr. Tyler has served as Vice Chairman of Clinical Services, Department of Psychiatry,
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Ctr., Dallas. He was also appointed Professor of Clinical Psychology. Prior to these
positions, he was Medical Director, Psychiatric Services at Methodist Medical Ctr., Dallas. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Parkland Memorial
Hospital, Dallas, and his internship at Brooke Army Medical Ctr., Fort Sam Houston, TX. Dr. Tyler left the US Army Medical
Corps in 1982 with the rank of Major. In 1969/1970,
Dr. Tyler also had the opportunity to work for the NASA-Manned Space Flight Center as a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer.
He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Tyler is also a member of several Professional
Societies, including the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, American Psychiatric
Association, Aerospace Medical Association, and the Southern Medical Association. He has been recognized for his numerous
publications and presentations. This meeting will take place Thursday, February 16th, 2011, from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m, room D1.502
at the UTSW Medical Center, Dallas, 5323 Harry Hines Blvd. (See Map on Page 8.) We have free literature available and also
books that can be purchased at a discount. Please do not miss this exciting and informative meeting. Family members and
friends, as well as other professionals, are also welcome to attend all meetings.
